Site owners Brydell Partners are planning to develop the retail area on the south corner of South Parade and Banbury Road. On 18th March, an exhibition of the proposals was held at URC in Summertown and comments were invited. The key features included renewal of all the retail sites at street level and 4 further storeys containing 149 student rooms above. You can read the Forum’s response to the developer here. The planning application is now live on the Council website. The Forum has submitted a detailed response based on comments received from the community and relevant sections of the Oxford City Local Plan 2036 and the Summertown & St Margaret’s Neighbourhood Plan 2019.
